Using Northflow for a Church or Ministry Media Team
A practical setup guide for church and ministry media teams running sermons, podcasts, and social content with rotating volunteers.
Churches and ministry media teams often run on a rotating mix of volunteers and staff, producing sermons, podcasts, and social content every week. Here's how a media team can set up Northflow to keep that work organized without losing track of who's doing what.
Before you start
Decide how you want to organize your ministry's work: one Space for the whole church, or separate Spaces per ministry area (worship, podcast, social media). Either works, Spaces are just rooms for the work that belongs together. See What Is a Space and How to Create One.
Set up your Space
Create a Space for your production work. Inside it, each sermon series, podcast season, or campaign becomes its own project, so you always know what belongs to what. If you have a recurring format, apply a template to lay out the whole workflow at once instead of rebuilding it each week.
Bring your team in
Invite staff and volunteers as members. As people rotate on and off your team, you can add or remove members without losing the history of what they worked on.
Turn one recording into a week of content
Upload your Sunday recording (or any source audio/video) to a project's Assets, then assign agents to turn it into a full set of outputs:
Transcriber Agent turns the recording into a transcript.
Blog Writer Agent drafts a blog recap of the message.
Newsletter Writer Agent drafts a newsletter update for your congregation.
Everything stays as a draft until someone on your team reviews and approves it.
Keep track of everything happening
Use Command Center to see every active series, project, and task across your ministry in one view, useful when you're training a new volunteer and want them to focus on just what's in front of them without digging through everything else.
