Northflow's AI Agents: An Overview
A rundown of Northflow's AI agents and how to assign work to them from any task.
Northflow's AI agents handle real production work inside your workspace: outreach, intake, transcription, and content drafts. Most agents are assigned to a task the same way you'd assign it to a teammate, and you review their output before anything ships.
Before you start
Agents work within a Space, so make sure the Space you're working in has the content or contacts an agent needs (a guest list, a recording, and so on) before assigning a task.
Available agents
Guest Recruiter Agent — Takes the guest list you provide, prepares personalized outreach, follows up, and tracks replies as conversations move toward booking. Runs through its own Recruiter Project setup rather than a standard task assignment.
AI Intake Agent — Sends your guest a link, collects what you need (bio, headshot, signed release), and confirms once everything is in. Started by sharing a task with a guest, see Sharing Tasks with Guests and Clients.
Podcast Agent — Answers questions about the status of a show and helps coordinate what's still open.
Transcriber Agent — Turns recorded audio and video into transcripts your team can use throughout the rest of your workflow.
Blog Writer Agent — Turns your episode content into a ready-to-review blog draft.
Newsletter Writer Agent — Turns your episode into newsletter content ready for your team to review, edit, and send.
Project Manager — Takes one recording and generates a blog, newsletter, and show notes from it in parallel, transcribing once instead of running each agent separately.
More agents are on the way, we'll add them here as they're ready.
Assigning a task to an agent
For Transcriber, Blog Writer, Newsletter Writer, Podcast Agent, and Project Manager:
Open the task you want to assign.
Click the Assignee field (it shows Unassigned if nothing is set yet).
Under Agents, select the agent you want to handle the task.
The agent picks up the task and posts updates as it works. You'll see its progress and any output directly on the task, and nothing moves forward until you review and approve it. If you'd rather have a whole workflow of tasks pre-built and ready to assign, see Using Project Templates: Podcast Episode Production.
